We got to eat at Texas Roadhouse twice last week. Yes folks, twice. In fact it was Friday night and Saturday night. I don't think we can get enough of that place.
So Friday our friends we work for, the Thorstroms, decided we all needed a "moral boosting company party". They took us all to eat the roadhouse which was awesome and so nice of them. We had a great dinner, the kids all behaved and ate all of their steak, and I got to try their delicious ribs (yum) and sweet potato (tops with toasty marshmallows, double yum). The we all headed to our house for some games before ending the night.
We had made plans weeks ago to go out with some friends on Saturday for Valentines day and to go to the before mentioned restaurant. We got a sitter and headed out on the town for what ended up being a 6 hour date (wow! six whole hours without kids? yes, it was awesome!). After more delicious roadhouse food (with a great waitress who asked if we'd like her to box us up rolls to take home. umm YES!), we wanted to get ice cream but we were too full. We decided none of us were ready to go home to the kids so we would kill some time and enjoy our adult time. My friend introduced me to this cool little store where I found the pencil skirt that I have been searching for for years. Hurray! Then, since the boys so patient through our clothes shopping, we went to wander Sportsman Warehouse for a bit. By now we had walked off enough dinner that we were ready for some dessert so we settled on Wingers for a little Asphalt Pie (more yum). It was a great evening with some great friends and a great break from kids.
Benjamin is already trying to find an occasion every month for an excuse to go to Texas Roadhouse.
